The Bright Tangerine Misfit 3-Stage Mattebox is designed to be compact and lightweight without sacrificing a field of view which covers wide lenses. This mattebox combines adjustable, lightweight carbon fiber flags with the flexible Reveal system: a fixed 2-stage cassette and hidden third stage. Simply undo the screws, slide open the back, and insert your third filter tray (included). Misfit retains the simplicity of a clamp-on mattebox while adding a range of innovative features. The carbon fiber blades are affixed to light alloy axles that stay with the flag (reducing weight when the flag is removed).

The 3/8" mounting point means you can attach a small LED light, a monitor, or Cinetape for tracking distance. Simply twist, slide, and place it wherever you want, or remove it in seconds to save weight.

Misfit is engineered to achieve an incredibly high strength to weight ratio. Combining a carbon fiber core with sophisticated hard-anodised alloys, Misfit is extremely tough and built to last. It covers lenses as wide as a 14mm Cooke S4 with all three filter stages in use. You can also shoot with RED Pro Zooms at 5K without vignetting.

With the addition of the lightweight arm (not included), Misfit becomes a fully functioning studio matte box. Once attached the arm can be removed in seconds. Simply release the lock, slide the matte box off the arm, and you're ready to go in 143mm clamp-on mode. Misfit is also able to slide forward and swing away in an effortless motion to make lens changes quick and simple, giving you more time to focus on what's important. The vertical height adjustment system allows up to 12.5mm of movement in swing-away mode, and 10.5mm adjustment with the 15mm LWS rod bracket.

The Bright Tangerine Misfit 143mm Clamp-On Attachment enables the user to swap out the rear plate of the Misfit to clamp onto lenses with a front diameter of 143mm.

The Bright Tangerine Misfit / VIV / VIV 5" Carbon Fiber Top Flag (V2) with Dual Variable Side Wings is an optional accessory used control light entering the Misfit, VIV, or VIV 5" mattebox. Its carbon fiber construction and patented quick-release design radically reduces weight and provides increased coverage for maximum flare control. The wings extend for additional protection and the knurled knobs can be twisted and folded away to move through tight spaces, and for efficient storage. Multiple layers of carbon fiber, matte paint on the interior surface, and egg shell lacquering on the exterior ensure maximum durability. The top flag is also compatible as a bottom flag to protect from lens flares when shooting in snow or sand.

The Bright Tangerine Misfit / VIV Carbon Fiber Side Flags (Pair) feature a patented quick release design and carbon fiber construction which radically reduces weight and ensures increased depth for maximum flare control. Side wings extend for additional protection and the knurled knobs can be twisted and folded away to move through tight spaces and for efficient storage.

Traditional side flags can get blocked when top & bottom flags are closed beyond 90°. VIV flags are outfitted with dual variable blades that retract to give you greater flare management. Multiple layers of carbon fiber, with matte paint on the inside and egg shell lacquering on the exterior, ensure maximum durability.

The Bright Tangerine Super Lightweight Glide Rail Bracket (Type 1) is an optional accessory for Bright Tangerine VIV, VIV 5", and Misfit matteboxes that provides a single 3/8"-16 sliding mounting point for a CineTape distance measuring device. This rail is constructed from precision-cut and hard anodized aluminium for maximum durability.

These Bright Tangerine Misfit Hard Mattes (Set of 5) are an optional accessory to control light. The set includes an 18-20mm, 24-28mm, 32-40mm, 50-75mm, and 85-180mm hard matte for the Misfit mattebox. Each hard matte is extremely lightweight, designed to work with or without light shields for maximum flare control, allowing you to keep your mattebox configuration compact. 

Mattes are constructed from high grade ABS sheets and coated with a matte finish on the inside and a UV textured ultra-matte finish on the outside to avoid reflections, with low contrast markings to avoid detection when filming reflective surfaces.

The Bright Tangerine 15mm Lightweight Rod Bracket Type 3 allows connection of 15mm or 19mm studio brackets to the Misfit ATOM.

The Bright Tangerine Swing Away Kit for Misfit includes the Production Swing Away Core, 15mm Lightweight arm, and Misfit dovetail bracket. It upgrades the Bright Tangerine Misfit clamp-on mattebox to a 15mm LWS studio swing-away mattebox system.

The Bright Tangerine Black Hole Rubber Donut - 143mm is an optional accessory designed to fit lenses with 62mm to 143mm front outer diameter to Bright Tangerine or ARRI matteboxes. Constructed with a unique elasto-polymer material that is highly expandable and offers additional light protection. It also features a 138mm round filter retaining ring. The Black Hole quickly attaches and detaches from your lenses and is easy to store.
