ARRI LCUBE CUB-2 Signal Converter - Basic Set

ARRI LCUBE CUB-2 Signal Converter - Basic Set adapts servo-zoom lenses with a 12-Pin Hirose to LBUS 4-Pin LEMO. It enables your Master Grips to control focus, iris and zoom of your compatible servo-zoom lens. CUB-2 provides a switch to select between iris control from camera (auto-iris via camera Hirose 12-Pin interface) or manual iris control from your Master Grips (via the LBUS).

The LCUBE features an integrated dovetail for mounting your LCUBE Bracket (K2.0009620) or your  CLM-5/cforce mini Clamp Console 19/15 mm (K2.0006176).

The included ARRI LCUBE Bracket is a quick-release mounting point with a 3/8" screw for your LCUBE miniature converter. Connects your CUB-1 or CUB-2 converter box with the threaded screw or via the integrated dovetail on your CUB-1 or CUB-2. Features an integrated Dovetail mount.

Comes with a 3/8"-16 mounting screw.

NOTE: You will need to supply the appropriate cables to transmit data from your lens to the included CUB-2 signal converter to your Master Grips. Please speak with an AbelCine Salesperson or investigate the complete kit with the CUB-2, Master Grip, and assorted cables for third-party cameras.

Software Update:

ARRI has released Software Update Package (SUP) 1.2.1 for the LCUBE CUB-2. This release adds analog iris control for various ENG third-party cameras and lenses.

NOTE: ARRI highly recommends updating the LCUBE CUB-2 to this Software Update package. Devices delivered from ARRI Austria from now onwards include SUP 1.2.1 (until superseded by future updates). This SUP adds the following new features and changes:

• Support of analog iris control for ENG cameras and lenses
  
  • The LCUBE CUB-2 is a miniature signal converter that integrates the 12-pin Hirose ENG protocol into the LBUS ecosystem
  • This Software Update Package enables the CUB-2 to loop-through analog iris signals from the camera to the lens, making it an essential part when integrating third-party broadcast camera systems into the LBUS world (e.g., on an SRH-3 remote head)
    • NOTE: The following cable is required to connect CUB-2 with the Hirose lens connector: Cable LENS/ENG (12p) - Hi (12p) Analog (K2.0022328)
  • The 12-pin Hirose cable can be connected to the Hirose lens connector on the AMIRA/ALEXA Mini PL LDS Lens Mount, the B4 Lens Mount and third-party cameras; supports analog iris signals from third-party cameras and enables camera auto-iris function while using Master Grips for focus and zoom
