ARRI UDM Sensor Unit

ARRI UDM Sensor Unit is an ultrasonic sensor for your UDM-1 Ultrasonic Distance Measure to measure the focus distance between your film/sensor plane and your subject by sending ultrasonic pulses. The UDM-1 then measures the time it takes to bounce back. This Sensor Unit and your UDM-1 are compatible with any camera system, including your ALEXA or AMIRA camera models.

Range Limits

UDM Sensor Unit features a measurement range of approximately 1' 4" to 33' (0.4 to 10 meters). Select Meters or Feet on your Display Unit. 

Mounting

Mount your UDM Sensor Unit with the included 3/8" UNC bushings on your standard supports. You can also use an optional Universal Mounting Arm. 

System Integration

When combined with an optional Universal Motor Controller UMC-4 or your WCU-4 Wireless Compact hand unit, you can set the focus motor to follow measured distances of a subject in frame in conjuntion with the UDM Sensor Unit and UDM-1.

You can also enable automatic focus tracking when you pair the UDM system with your ARRI Lens Data System or LDS lenses.

NOTE: Sensor Unit cannot function on its own. You will need to purchase separately the ARRI UDM Display Unit and the 5' UDM Sensor Cable. If you prefer, ARRI combines these together as an optional complete set.
