Fujinon Premista 80-250mm T2.9-3.5 Full Format Zoom - PL Mount

The Fujinon Premista 80-250mm T2.9-3.5 Full Format Zoom - PL Mount represents the first large format cine lens series from Fujifilm, covering a 46.3mm image circle. The Premista's optical performance rivals that of many prime lenses, with a fast, constant T2.9 maximum aperture from 80-200mm (gradually ramping less than a full stop to T3.5 between 201-250mm.). As the 80-250mm range is typically covered by multiple prime lenses, the Premista saves time on set by eliminating lens changes. It is also ideal for use on crane or helicopter rigs where access to the lens is difficult or impossible.

A new 13-blade iris yields a pleasant bokeh (out-of-focus background) effect, and a wide dynamic range of light can be captured thanks to an optical design that suppresses unwanted flare and ghosting. Thanks to its large-diameter aspherical lens elements and new focus/zoom system, the Premista series achieves exceptional optical quality from center to corners at all focal lengths.

The lens weighs only 8.4 lb (3.8 kg), yet is still very durable for professional use in harsh conditions. The focus ring features a 280° angle of rotation with smooth torque. The Premista 80-250mm is compatible with the ZEISS eXtended Data system (based on the /i standard; available via firmware update). This enables recording of lens metadata, distortion, and shading corrections.
