Overview
The Tiffen Digital Diffusion FX 1 Filter - 4x5.65 creates a silky, smooth look on textured surfaces and suppresses facial blemishes and wrinkles while maintaining a clear, in-focus overall image. Essentially, this filter makes the subject look better without obvious evidence of filtration. Made of Water White ultra-quality glass, Digital Diffusion FX filters offer a minimum of highlight flare and reduction in contrast, creating a more subtle version of the “film look” for digital video applications.
Lower densities of the Digital Diffusion FX filter offer modest softening, minimal reduction of contrast, and fine tuning of the image; higher grades create stronger effects. This is helpful when different grades of diffusion are required in the same shot or different scenes, as the viewer will not notice a change in the overall “look” (which remains consistent). Digital Diffusion FX filters are similar to the popular Tiffen Black Diffusion FX line, without the internal dot pattern.
