When using B4 lenses, the sensor provides a 4K window for Ultra HD broadcast, while PL or EF lenses allow the use of the full 6K resolution for cinematic purposes. Exceptional Low Light Performance
The URSA Broadcast G2 offers exceptional low light performance, making it suitable for shooting in ambient light or even under moonlight. It features gain settings from -12dB (100 ISO) to +36dB (25,600 ISO), optimizing image quality by reducing grain and noise while maintaining full dynamic range. The camera’s primary native ISO of 400 is ideal for studio lighting, while the secondary high base ISO of 3200 is perfect for dimly lit environments. These settings can be adjusted via a camera switch, the LCD menu, or remotely using the SDI remote camera control protocol, providing flexibility in various shooting conditions.
Compatibility and Advanced Features
URSA Broadcast G2 is designed to be compatible with B4 broadcast lenses and includes high-quality neutral density (ND) filters. The B4 lens mount allows the use of modern Ultra HD lenses or lower-cost HD lenses, ensuring high quality at an affordable price. The par-focal nature of B4 lenses ensures the image remains in focus during zooming, enhancing workflow efficiency.
