Sony CBK3620XSB VENICE Extension System 2

The VENICE Extension System 2 (CBK-3620XS) enables cabled separation of the VENICE (6K only) or VENICE 2 (6K or 8K) camera body and image sensor block by up to 39.3' (12m) with no degradation in image quality. The system maintains full use of the advanced features VENICE & VENICE 2, such as the integrated, 8-step, glass ND filter system, Dual Base ISO, and more. The kit consists of a camera body plate, image sensor block housing with 9.8' (3m) cable, and a second image sensor housing with a 39.3' (12m) cable.

IMPORTANT NOTE: VENICE 2 firmware Ver 2.00 and VENICE firmware 7.0 are required to use Extension System 2; firmware available in early 2023. Camera and other accessories sold separately.

The Extension System 2 features an HD-SDI output and a 24V output for powering accessories like lens servo motors and monitors. Multiple female threads on all surfaces make it easy to affix additional accessories and provide interoperability with a wide variety of rigs.

Extension System 2 is also equipped with a tilt/roll sensor in the image sensor housing. Camera head tilt/roll data can be monitored while shooting using the monitor output on-screen display. This data is also recorded as metadata in the MXF image files.

NOTE: the tilt/roll and recording to metadata function only works with the VENICE 2. The original VENICE camera does not support tilt/roll sensor, recording to metadata, or output via SDI.
