Lentequip SafeTap Connector

Reverse polarity insertions are among the leading causes of P-Tap/D-Tap equipment failure. The Lentequip SafeTap Connector detects this damaging condition and prevents power output to the device it is connected to. The SafeTap computer-controlled connector is a complete reinvention of the existing PowerTap by Anton/Bauer (and similar D-Tap products), featuring integrated intelligence monitors for reverse polarity, over/under voltage, and short circuits. You will never need to worry about causing damage to your expensive equipment due to any of these hazardous conditions.

The SafeTap provides user feedback via a multicolored LED. Supports up to 8A continuous draw from the connector (actual maximum is based on ambient temperature, lead length, and cross section cable used). A sleep mode is activated at 10V, indicated by a blue light, to guard your battery against deep discharge. This feature prevents your power source from draining into the damaging extreme low voltage zone, should you inadvertently leave a powered accessory unattended.

The SafeTap was also designed with knock-out sections on the left and right side of the housing to allow for easy cable exit. Cable strain relief is accomplished via a simple yet effective tie wrap, which resists considerable pull-out forces thanks to friction features built into the lower shell housing.
