Overview
The RED KOMODO 6K Digital Cinema Camera - Canon RF Mount features RED's exceptional image quality, color science, and groundbreaking global shutter sensor technology in a shockingly small and versatile form factor.
The KOMODO's 19.9MP Super 35mm CMOS sensor measures 30.56mm (diagonally) and features 16+ stops of dynamic range, capturing 6144 (h) x 3240 (v) effective pixels. The camera records to RED Pro CFast and qualified CFast 2.0 media at up to 280 MB/s.
The KOMODO features a Canon RF-Style Mount, and includes a mechanical RF to EF Mount adapter. Full electronic communication with Canon EF lenses is supported via compatlbe "smart" RF mount adapters (sold separately).
Integrated dual channel digital stereo microphones capture uncompressed, 24-bit, 48 kHz sound, and an external microphone can also be connected via a 3.5mm audio input port.
The KOMODO utilizes WiFi for camera control via an interchangeable antenna (SMA connection). Genlock, Timecode (input), GPIO and Control (RS232) are available via an integrated 9-pin EXT port.
The compact camera body is constructed from lightweight aluminum alloy, weighing just 2.1 lb (without port cap and recording media). Two slots accept Canon BP-9 series batteries for easy hotswapping. The camera accepts 7-17V DC power via an integrated LEMO 2-pin DC-IN port.
KOMODO features an integrated (top) 2.9" touchscreen monitor with 720p preview and camera control. Monitor output features integrated 12G-SDI with 6G-SDI and 3G-SDI modes (up to 4096 x 2160/60p, 4:2:2, via 12G-SDI).
