The Miller CX8 Solo 75 3-Stage Carbon Fiber Tripod System - 75mm Ball consists of the CX8 Fluid Head and ultra-lightweight, rigid Solo 75 3-Stage Carbon Fiber Tripod. With a maximum payload of 26.4 lb (12 kg ) and sliding, side-load quick release plate, this is an ideal tripod system for cinematic and documentary filmmaking, where both payload and center of gravity shift frequently due to lens or accessory changes.
The Miller Compassx 8 Fluid Head - 75mm Ball is the premium head in the 75mm ball leveling CompassX series. Designed for camera rigs up to 26.4 lb (12 kg), with (16) balance positions and (5) levels of fluid drag, it is ideal for professional applications requiring compact camera support. A feature-packed fluid head, CX8 is ideal for cinematic and documentary production, where payload and center of gravity shift frequently due to lens or accessory changes.
The CX8 employs CB Plus technology, providing (16) counterbalance positions. With 3+0 settings of Miller’s unrivaled fluid drag, coupled with 60mm of camera plate travel, you can easily adjust the head to match your camera configuration.
Constructed of lightweight, high-strength, die-cast alloy and tough composite polymers, and featuring precision ball bearings, Miller has combined robust engineering with smooth pan and tilt movement. Built for extreme conditions, the CX8 performs consistently over a wide range of temperatures and environments, giving you confidence when out in the field.

This Miller 3-Stage Solo 75 Tripod features advanced carbon fiber tubing and easy ball levelling. Solo Rapid Lock tripods provide a solid operating height in a lean and light design. In addition to the sleek telescopic design, the 3-stage Solo 75 tripod provides a greater height range with a lightweight 75mm bowl.
While this tripod may be the tallest 75mm tripod available, its 3-stage design offers the smallest packing size for travel. You will not need Baby Legs or a Hi-hat with the renowned super-low Solo tripod range. A low height setting down to 8.7" (220mm) expands the capabilities of this tripod into the low-angle shot your director craves each time he or she asks: can you go any lower? Now you can say: yes!
