Sony FS5 Baseplate

SHAPE designed their Sony FS5 Baseplate to suit all the key features of the camera. Built small and lightweight, this baseplate is a perfect solution for your Sony PXW-FS5 camera. 

A single 1/4"-20 and a single 3/8"-16 captive screw are included on this baseplate to secure your camera's position in translation and rotation so it won't move. 

Rubber pads at the top of the baseplate ensure that your camera doesn’t sit directly on the aluminum. The baseplate fits 15mm standard rods. Secure the rods with a red ratchet knob screw. On the side, SHAPE included 1/4"-20 threaded holes for mounting accessories or support arms for on-board accessories. 

Under the baseplate, SHAPE added (4) 1/4"-20 and (2) 3/8"-16 threaded holes so you can attach your tripod plate. SHAPE removed excess aluminium from the bottom of the plate during the machining process to reduce the weight of the baseplate.

SHAPE also designed an optional removable support bracket for a METABONES® adapter (FS5MA) can be added on the baseplate to support the weight and remove stress to the camera lens mount. Fixed with (2) screws in front of the baseplate, it can be removed when not needed. For a precise positioning, SHAPE designed the bracket with a 3mm vertical adjustment to make sure it's well-positioned for the best support.

The baseplate includes a set of (2) 15mm 10" rods. 

This baseplate suits aerial devices and gimbal application with its lightweight system for mounting any standard 15mm accessories.

SHAPE Two-Part Top Plate for Sony FS5 Camera

SHAPE Two-Part Top Plate for Sony FS5 Camera is designed for the top of your Sony PXW-FS5 camera. The plates include 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded holes for accessory attachment. Due to the nature of the installation, this Top Plate permits you to place the (2) plates on either side of the handle and permits cables to pass through.

SHAPE created the top plates to provide an easy access to the camera's sensor reference pin. At 0.15 lb (70 g) it is also very lightweight.

Unlike most top plates, this is a two-part item so you can installed on one side only, if required. This may make it more suited to aerial devices and gimbal applications. The top plate system was designed with a lightweight system for mounting any standard 15mm accessories.

SHAPE Remote Extension for Sony FS5 Handle with LANC Cable

The SHAPE Remote Extension for Sony FS5 Handle with LANC Cable is an adjustable, extending handgrip relocator arm that attaches to the user's Sony FS5 camera with a SHAPE Standard ARRI rosette. The user's original Sony handle is then secured via a ratchet knob screw to the outer arm rosette. The Remote Extension includes SHAPE's patented red push-button technology, allowing the handle 360° of rotation. The user can adjust the angle of the handle with a simple press of the thumb.

The length of the arm is 5-5/8” (14cm) and the adjustment length is 2" (5cm). The Sony handle is affixed to the extension arm with the same mechanism used to install the handle on the camera. All accessories for the Sony FS5 are compatible with each other. SHAPE proudly makes its products in Canada, and offers a lifetime warranty on all CNC machined parts.
