metaSETZ TLC-8S Tally Controller

metaSETZ TLC-8S Tally Controller offers up to (8) assignable tally outputs with Program, Preview, and Talent Tally featured. This microprocessor controlled tally box for your NewTek TriCaster is compatible with all current High Def TriCasters, including the TriCaster 40 (2.0). See full compatibility list below. 

TLC8C connects to your TriCaster via USB and to the tally light via an Ethernet style cable (Cat5).

The TLC-8S includes (8) tally output channels. It supports Program, Preview and Talent Tally. These channels can be assigned to any TriCaster input; you are not limited to only camera inputs. Assign a tally to the DDR, media player or network inputs.

The Talent tally is tied to the program tally, but can be globally disabled via software.

2x GPI outputs can be assigned to fire with any input.

This system interfaces with and can be controlled by external hardware with your TriCaster.

For CCU users, the TLC-8S can be interfaced with CCUs that require 'Dry' contact closure using an RU-2 relay unit for each CCU.

Intercom Pass-Through Connection

Another thing that sets the TLC-8S apart from a simple adapter cable is the intercom pass-through so you can run both tally and intercom on a single Cat5 cable run. Connect your intercom base station into the 3-Pin XLR on the TLC-8S, then connect your beltpacks to the multi-purpose port on the tally lights with the proper adapter cable.

TLC-8S offers an alternate use of the Intercom Pass-Through. Use it as a low cost one-way intercom system. Plug your director's mic into a spare channel on your mixer, then route that via an AUX send to your headphone amp. Connect your headphones to the tally lights for your camera operators to receive direct voice input from your director or other live source. NOTE: The intercom must be powered by the device plugged into the passthrough port.

Assign Tally Outputs

You can assign tally outputs using the tally configuration utility within the add-ons panel on your TriCaster main carousel menu. Select which TriCaster input your want to assign to each Tally with a simple pull-down menu on the TLC controller.
