Overview
The Blackmagic Design Mini Converter - SDI to HDMI will convert in all SD and HD formats up to 1080p60. It is ideal for using HDMI monitors and video projectors as SSDI monitors for all SD and HD formats.
This Mini Converter provides multiple connection ports:
- SDI Video Input - SD, HD or 3G-SDI
- SDI Video Output - Automatically matches the SD, HD and 3G-SDI video input
- HDMI Output - HDMI Type A output
- SDI Redundant Input - Automatically switches over if main SDI input is lost
- L Analog or AES/EBU Output
- R Analog Out
- USB - for updates and configuration
- DC Power (+12V to 31V)
Switching and Redundancies
The Blackmagic Design Mini Converter - SDI to HDMI features an instant conversion of SDI to HDMI video formats and will auto switch at change of video input. To maintain your conversion during live events or broadcasts, this Mini Converter also features a redundant SDI Input to provide continuous switching, even if your main input is lost due to accidental issues or cable damage.
All Formats
Blackmagic states it will convert all Standard Definition (SD) and High Definition (HD) formats. SDI video connections are switchable between standard definition, high definition level B 3G-SDI. SDI Audio Sampling occurs within the standard sample rate of 48 kHz and 24 bit.

This Mini Converter operates with Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite, Mac IS X 10.11 El Capitan or later and Windows 8.1 or Windows 10.
Software upgrades occur via USB.
Power Requirements
The Blackmagic SDI to HDMI Mini Converter comes with a +12V universal power supply with international socket adapters for all countries. It consumes 5.2 Watts and overates in a 12-31V DC range.
