Overview
The Denecke Timecode Slate (Dcode TS-3EL) is a lightweight clapper-style timecode generator which is small enough to fit in a frontbox. It reads and displays SMPTE/EBU timecode.
The internally mounted Syncbox Time Code Generator jams to all standard frame rates, including 23.976 fps. User bits will jam automatically when the time is set.
The high stability Temperature Compensated Crystal Oscillator (TCXO) ensures low drift and is standard on the TS-3 slates.
Backlit Scene/Take/Production Details
This particular slate (the TS-3EL) features an optional EL or electronic backlit display. This is, of course, useful during dimly lit shots, at night, or in other low light or unique colored light situations. The backlit display appears behind the dry-erase portion of the clapper with space to write Scene, Take, Production, Roll, FPS, and Camera details.

A sliding access door hides controls and permits quick-load of your batteries. This slate accepts (6) standard AA batteries (sold separately).
A battery voltage, low or dead battery warning readout is provided. In addition, you can set a Time Out mode for open sticks to conserve the battery life.
NOTE: Please remember to remove batteries when using external power.
