Rycote InVision USM-L Studio Kit

The Rycote InVision Studio Kit USM-L is a complete suspension and pop filter system. It combines the Universal Studio Mount (USM) with a Universal Pop Filter to create a complete vocal microphone suspension and pop filter system that will accommodate virtually any microphone. The Pop Filter is designed to lock tightly on the USM's outer support ring, where it can be left while mics are quickly and easily swapped in the USM.

Rycote's Studio Kit is fast and easy to use. The manufacturer calls it harder-wearing, more vibration-resistant, and better at protecting your mic from vocal pops and thumps without high-frequency loss, than any traditional elasticated microphone suspensions. Check it out, if you record vocals.

InVision USM-L

Universal microphone shockmount ideal for microphones weighing 400 g or less (will hold up to 750 g in a vertical position) and between 18 mm and 55 mm in diameter.

Offers up to 12 dB better isolation against unwanted vibrations. 

The W-shaped Lyre is placed around a central mounting ring with adjustable fasteners. Those adjustable features are what makes this USM-L able to accommodate mics in different diameters and weights. It does not use elasticated parts. Instead this shockmount offers a better performance than most cat cradle suspension mounts. In controlled tests at the Rycote factory, this USM provided up to twice the isolation of traditional microphone suspension systems.

InVision Universal Pop Filter

6" vocal pop shield with universal suspension clamp. Designed to lock onto the USM outer support ring. It will also fit any other mic suspension thanks to its universal screw clamp.

It is suitable for the optimization of vocal performances. It uses a custom mesh filter capable of attenuating low-frequency vocal pops and thumbs by up to 20dB. It also causes no audibly detectable high-frequency loss, unlike most nylon pop screens.

The ergonomic frame helps you place the microphone close to the speaker or singer's mouth. Due to the custom mesh filter being removable, you can clean the foam between vocal artists. Your performers will appreciate that.
