Rycote 18cm Classic-Softie Camera Kit for Shotgun Microphones is an essential all-in-one kit for using a shotgun camera mounted microphone outside. This versatile kit contains a microphone shockmount with attachments suitable for mounting video cameras, booms and stands, as well as excellent protection against wind noise from a Rycote Classic-Softie. It supports microphone suspension for shotgun mics with slots no further than 18cm from the front of the mic and 19-22mm in diameter.

The Classic-Softie Camera Kit includes the InVision Video Shock-Mount, a multifaceted shock-mount the patented Lyre Suspension to provide ultimate protection against all vibrations, handling and camera motor noise. This flexible shock-mount is fitted with a Hot Shoe fixture, but also comes with a Male to Female thread adapter, 3/8" Boom Swivel and Camera Clamp Adapter, for versatility in how you attach this mount to your camera or boom pole.

18cm Classic-Softie Windshield (19/22)

The 18cm Classic-Softie Windshield (19/22) with Standard hole size is the broadcast professionals choice of wind protection. It features excellent wind protection with up to 25 dB noise reduction. This Classic-Softie includes slip-on fur and open-cell foam with slots no further than 18cm from the front of the microphone and a diameter of 19-22mm. Not only does the Rycote Classic-Softie protect the mic itself, the foam is also impervious to UV and moisture damage. This Classic-Softie will reduce up to 25dB of wind noise without adverse effects on high frequencies.

Softie Windshields come in two varieties of fur length: classic and short hair. The short haired Softie, known as the Camera-Mounted Softie, has closely cropped dark grey synthetic fur and offers lower profile and a more compact design without severely altering the efficiency of the Softie. It can also be mounted close to the camera lens without causing unwanted shadows.

InVision Video Hot Shoe Adapter 

InVision Video Hot Shoe Adapter is a Duo-Lyre Shockmount that holds your microphone in place on-board your camera. It supports shotgun and microphones between 19 and 25mm in diameter and up to 300mm long.

The InVision Video Hot Shoe microphone clamp is suspended in two of Rycote's W-shaped patented Lyre mounts, which provide substantially better isolation from camera motor and drive noise and vibrations than traditional on-camera microphone mounts. The Lyres are attached to a mounting bar which may be slotted into the hot shoe mount on top of your camera or screwed into the quarter-inch thread available on some camcorders by means of separately available adaptors.

Rotate the swivel base on this shockmount to position your shotgun microphone precisely where you need it.

Without elasticized parts, this microphone cradle shockmount will not sag or require rethreading.

10cm Hot Shoe Extension

This 4" long Hot Shoe / Cold Shoe Extension Bar allows you to fit multiple on-board accessories on your camera's hot/cold shoe instead of just one accessory. The Exentsion features a double locking nut to adjust your bar relative to the stem. It also includes a 1/4-20 threaded female mount point, plus a shoe mount on the bottom.

3/8" Boom Swivel with Lever

This 3//8" Boom Swivel allows you to mount your microphone to your camera or audio boom.

3/8" Hot Shoe Adapter

The 3/8" Hot Shoe Adapter provides a 3/8" threaded mount point in place of your camera hot shoe since it features the hot shoe on one side and a 3/8" threaded screw on the other side. Ideal for cameras without a hot shoe or accessories without a 3/8" threaded hole.

Camera Mic Clamp / Hot Shoe Adapter

Alows you to mount shoe accessories onto your camcorder's microphone clamp. Use a 21/25mm camera clamp for your hot shoe mountable camera accessories with this Camera Mic Clamp / Hot Shoe Adapter. A removable sleeve is included that behaves as a shim for your 25mm clamp found on a Sony or Canon camera. You will not need to use the included sleeve on 21mm clamps found on a JVC or Panasonic camera.

1/4" Adapter with 19mm Washer

This 1/4" Adapter with 19mm Washer allows you another way to configure your camera accessories on your camera and rounds out this complete mount kit designed for shotgun-style microphones.
