Novation Launchpad MK2 Control Surface for Ableton Live

Novation Launchpad MK2 Control Surface for Ableton Live provides an 8x8 grid with 64 pads to integrate immediately with your Abelton Live music software. These reactive pads are lit by RGB LEDs to match the color of your audio clips so you can see at a glance which clips are loaded, playing or recording. Includes 8 assignable RGB backlit system buttons and 8 RGB backlit function buttons around the perimeter of your 8x8 grid. 

Launchpad integrates with Abelton Live software without any setup time. Plug it in and start creating music.

Not only will the pads interact with your clips, but you can also control your mixer to:

• Start and stop loops
• Arm tracks
• Control volumes, pans, and sends

Scale Mode

Stay on point and in pitch with Scale Mode, which assigns Launchpad's pads to the notes of a specific key or mode. This ensures that your bassline, lead instruments or vocals, and your melodies ring true.

User 1 Mode

Allows you to play drum racks in Lives MIDI tracks or to freely assign the launchpad buttons to any MIDI assignable parameter in Abelton Live.

User 2 Mode

Convenient location to access Max for Abelton Live presets or to freely assign the launchpad buttons to any parameter in Live. 

Portable Control

The lightweight 8x8 grid of Launchpad is portable and does not require power sockets, since it is USB Bus Powered. You can also combine with your other Launchpads or Launch products to create a custom build studio. Optional accessories include: Launch Control, Launch Control XL or Launchkey.

Simply plug in your Launchpad to an available USB port on your compatible Mac or PC with the supplied USB cable. You can connect up to (6) Launchpad devices simmultaneously with Abelton Live.

8x8 Grid

Each pad on your Launchpad's 8x8 grid represents an eight-by-eight block of clips. This delivers a matrix of 64 scenes by 64 tracks.

The 8 buttons on the top and the 8 buttons to the right of the 8x8 grid offer preassigned and assignable buttons to customize your music making experience.

Buttons at far right include:

• Volume
• Pan
• Send A
• Send B
• Stop
• Mute
• Solo
• Record Arm (this is also your Exit button)

When there are no colors backlit under a button in your 8x8 grid, there are no tracks or scenes in that range or those clips/tracks/scenes are not currently engaged. Lights under the pads mean you are selecting or playing those clips. 

Use the Session and Mixer buttons at top for additional functionality.

NOTE: Abelton Live Lite 9 is included with 4GB of royalty-free Loopmaster samples, plus Novation V Station and Bass Station VST and AU plug-ins.
