Cooke S8/i and Service Announcement
Cooke showed off their impressive new line of high-end, all-spherical S8/i cinema primes. These lightweight lenses are color-balanced and color-matched with all other current Cooke optics and feature a faster T1.4 maximum aperture, as well as updated /i Technology.
Cooke also announced plans to certify AbelCine as an Authorized Cooke Service Center in its New York and Los Angeles locations. This partnership will enable Cooke to provide US customers with an expanded network of warranty service and ongoing support. Details will be announced later in 2022 as they are finalized.

TRIBE7 BLACKWING7 SKIN Upgrade Program
TRIBE7 announced their new SKIN program, which allows any BLACKWING7 prime lens (of any manufactured tuning) to take on a new range of creative looks through the addition of replacement front and rear lens elements with new, specially formulated, non-radioactive coatings. The unique look of lenses fitted with SKIN is a tribute to the Thorium look of 50 years ago.
Front, rear, or both lens elements, as well as new replacement scarlet anodized focus scale covers, can be fitted at approved TRIBE7 service centers, or by skilled lens technicians with deep BLACKWING7 knowledge and training.
The warm amber hue produced by SKIN coatings, with striking gold and intense ruby red ghost flare characteristics, offers the choice of markedly different looks over and above what can be created with standard BLACKWING7 lenses, and because the SKIN lens elements are replaceable, the process is fully reversible.
Delivery is slated to begin in September 2022. Availability is via pre-order only.

Chrosziel Fujinon Premista Drive Motor
Chrosziel showcased their Premista Drive Unit at the show, an “all-in-one” solution that is fully compatible with all three models of Fujinon Premista lenses, attaching directly to the side of the zoom natively, without additional support.

The Drive Unit features:
- Built-in Zoom Rocker
- VTR & Return buttons
- Fujinon Zoom & Focus Demand connectors
- Fujinon Remote Port
- ENG Camera Lens Port
- Power Input
The Drive Unit is slated for release in June 2022.
