Aiming to launch three new interactive Twitch shows, Complex Networks needed straightforward remote contribution kits that could enhance their production value over the typical laptop streaming setup.
AbelCine's Business Development and Integration teams worked closely with Complex Networks to understand their specific objectives: a high-quality, remote controlled, easily-deployed streaming kit that could be shipped to various on-air talent's locations and increase production quality in terms of image capture, lighting, and audio. The equipment also needed to work with Complex Networks' customized version of OBS Studio and, if needed, be adapted to a wide variety of configurations.
AbelCine designed and configured ten remote drop kits around the affordable Konftel webcam. Each system also featured a MacBook Pro, Core SWX TorchLED Bolt 300, Audio Technica microphone, Saramonic 2-channel USB Audio Interface, and Sony headphones. The kits could be easily packed up and shipped in their rugged travel case. The components could also be remotely controlled, allowing for easy technical support, service, and future upgrades, if desired.
All three Complex shows have now launched on Twitch: The Daily Drift, One of One, and Type Beat Battle. Watch these and more on Complex's Twitch channel.
Complex Network's drop kits included webcams, laptops, and professional microphones.
Todd Thaxton and Will Gabriele set up and prep the drop kits.
The AbelCine team built a total of ten drop kits for Complex Network.
Each drop kit could be packed up and easily shipped to hosts or guests in any location.
