Another tripod in the flowtech line has arrived from Sachtler. The addition of an option with a 100mm fixing brings the flowtech innovations to a new range of camera systems and productions.
The flowtech 100 is a built-up tripod that has all of the features of the 75mm version, which I discussed in my previous blog on the flowtech 75. With a bigger payload capacity of 66 lbs and the larger 100mm bowl, the new tripod can support fluid heads like Sachtler's Video 18 or Cine 7+7. Narrative and independent cinema have long used 100mm tripods as the lightweight alternative to the heavier Mitchell mount, so this new tripod is a support option for true cinema cameras like a RED WEAPON, ALEXA Mini, or Sony VENICE, which the 75mm version would not be a good fit for.
