AbelCine's new ARRI Applications series begins with insight from Director of Photography Lucas Cohen, exploring why he chose the ARRI ALEXA Mini LF and Signature Primes for this specific project: six shoots in three weeks, covering Major League Soccer.
Formats ranged from docu-style player profiles to high-end commercials, with Cohen utilizing the “cinematic nature” of ARRI’s camera-lens combo, taking full advantage of its “massive Field of View in Large Format” inside tight spaces, exceptionally shallow Depth of Field to deftly draw the viewer’s eye, and excellent color science to beautifully represent the color palettes of the teams.
