AbelCine provided training and consultation to Transformation Church in the areas of lighting, lens choice and camera operation, as well as helping optimize their color pipeline to maximize the look of the various models of Sony cameras in use.
In conjunction with Transformation’s lighting team, we helped bring Transformation’s in-room and livestreamed experiences closer together visually, exploiting the wide dynamic range of Sony’s VENICE and HDC-5500 cameras. The team leveraged Sony’s S-Log 3 brightness curve across all cameras to single-source the HDR and SDR streams.
We also collaborated with Transformation's creative team on a custom 3D LUT that served to match the different generations of camera sensors in the mix, while adding a layer of cinematic polish via Sony’s HDRC-4000 HDR Production Converter.
The resulting branded look was applied to all deliverables, including the livestreamed Sunday services as well as any pre-produced and social media content.
